The funny this is that I have a plan: create an online database with DIY and TOTALLY UNDERGROUND music that you cannot get anywhere else. That means I wanna list the bands and the albums that are only known to the neighborhood, city, and state. Who knows, maybe I will go all over the globe to get the names. Whatever I’m doing, it starts from me, my laptop, and the music I have so far.

I’m currently running open mic night sessions with some of my friends at The Hookah House, located at 16 Market Street in Potsdam, NY. The sessions take place every Friday and Saturday from 7pm to 9pm (I think I’m gonna extended to 10pm if it all goes well). All I can say is let’s hope to take this further around town to make this known.
The music scene is still thriving in St. Lawrence County during the economic blues, but there more to be done. Support Your Local Artist Now and buy their shit - from CDs and T-Shirts to audio cassettes and vinyl records. There’s also a couple of useful links of how to record your own music while saving money and time for yourself, if you’re in a band or going solo for the first time…or if you’re seasoned. Technology is something else, but it can get you anywhere from point “A” to point “B”. Here are the useful links on: recording your music while saving a lot of money, promoting music online, and having an online channel for your videos of your tracks and/or of you playing music.

Or just go to Google or Bing to learn how it’s done. Good luck!

Currently, it’s going under construction, but just be patient with me. I’ll have this up and finished before New Years Day 2011. Wish me luck. Check back for more updates.
It’s a combination of CDs (LP’s, EP’s, demos) and audio cassettes (demos, LPs, mix tapes) I’ve bought and/or received for free. Between 2007 and early 2009, I didn’t do any music collecting until September of 2009 when I got into high gear of doing so. Other demos are at a separate page. The format of the collection follows this:
Artist, Album, Year of Release, Genre, and my brief comments on each of these albums/artists.
The album cover artwork is usually shown on each page of the artist/band.
